Sheffield Wednesday Away

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for us and we're feeling ... erm ... optimistic? (Maybe?)

New owners, new manager, new league and hopefully some more new players as we are set to take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the 2016/17 Championship opener on Sunday 7th August, 4:30pm Kick Off.

Tickets are set to go on sale to London Lions Club members, with ticket prices below:

Adults - £42

Over 65 -£32

Under 17 - £15

Under 11 - £10

Under 5 - £5

With the new season underway, please ensure you have updated your branch Chairman of any changes of address or personal details. We are now also required to list your date of birth in our membership information, so if you haven't already, please drop Cameron, Simon, John and Matt a message with this info.

As with last season, all ticket processes remain the same, with tickets purchased through your individual Lions Club Chairman on a first come, first served basis.

All monies need to be transferred to your individual Chairman before 11pm on Tuesday 19th July 2016.

Please don't forget to include your £2 booking fee and your full name as payment reference.

For those unable to attend the match itself, this is a televised fixture and the South London Lions will be gathering at The Six Yard Box in Elephant & Castle from 4pm, with all members of the Aston Villa London Lions Network very welcome.

To help whet your appetite for a season opener in Sheffield, here's a flashback to our first game of the 1991/92 season, before the Premier League was formed. Big Ron had controversially switched from Hillsborough to Villa Park, only to return to his former club for the first match of the campaign... and what a game it was!
